Have you ever been in a season where you felt like you should be doing and producing and expanding and growing, but something seems to be keeping you planted where you are?

That something, or shall I say someone, is typically the Holy Spirit.

Happy First Day Of Fall Family. Right now, it looks vibrant and lively and soon will shift to the beautiful colors showing the evidence of Fall (which I love!!!) But what about when the leaves shed and it’s bare? Do we still consider the season beautiful?

Let me ask you all a question…. When something great happens in your life, who are you attributing the success to? Is it to yourself, possibly saying things like “I did this” or “I’m self-made” or “It was all me”. Are you giving the praise to other people? Are you giving the praise to the Universe? Who is getting the praise instead of God himself?

If you are in a situation where you are trying to stop doing something, but you keep finding yourself stuck in the same routine (looking at pornography, lying, stealing, cheating, putting yourself down, addictions, etc.), know that this is normal! If I had to guess, it may lead you to feeling guilty or shameful because you feel you keep failing at it. Let’s see what the Bible says about it…

I’m currently reading through Romans and have been inspired by so much that I’ve come across. One of those times was today when I read Romans 4:20-21 which says:

“Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promises. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God. He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever he promises.”

If you are striving to grow within your career, are trying to switch jobs, and/or are trying to launch/sustain a business, my advice to you is:

Do not chase after the dollar sign. Chase after God!

God has a very specific calling on your life and has a plan for you. I hear many people online promote the dollar which can easily become an idol.

I was on my way to Nashville, TN and knew my way pretty well. Even so, I still connect my GPS, just in case. You know how your GPS will propose a new route when there’s an accident or heavy traffic coming?

Alright…Let’s get real about something. Is there something you’ve been trying to work on within yourself, but you feel like you keep failing? Do you feel like you fall into the same sin? You try and try and try, but you find yourself back in the same scenario over and over again?

Remember that decision you made that felt like the worst mistake of your life? Or those words you said that hurt someone? Or that abuse that left you broken? Or those boundaries you never had which led to you being walked on, overworked, and continuously hurt?

So the other day I was doing my devos, which is just spending time with God, and came across a verse that I’ve read many times and am sure you may have heard. It was 1 John 4: 4: “You, dear children, are from God, and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.”
